Learning path · Formulator

From the family map to the lot paperwork.

A formulator works one branch of the family at a time and lives with the paperwork that follows every lot. This order starts with the grade vocabulary, walks the family tree and the heat step, and ends on what should ship with the drum.

The order

7 pages, in the order that makes the next one easier.

A path is a reading order, not a course. Each step is a page that already exists, with one line on why it comes where it does. Read them in sequence and the self-check at the end should hold no surprises.

  1. How we grade

Every page after this one uses the same six rungs and two off-ladder states. Ten minutes here and no chip on the site will surprise you.

  2. The cannabinoid family map

One drawing of the whole family, acids and neutrals, with the branch your active sits on. Every compound page links back to it.

  3. The cannabinoid acids

The plant makes acids; heat makes the neutral forms. That one step decides what a product is, and the chemistry is established even where the pharmacology is not.

  4. Heat and decarboxylation

Turn the temperature yourself and watch which form survives. The instrument is built on the same chemistry the acids page states in prose.

  5. The CBG monograph

The mother cannabinoid's receptor pharmacology, in vitro and labelled as such, with the blood-pressure caution that pharmacology earns.

  6. Receptors and the entourage effect

Single-compound pharmacology is as far as the evidence takes a formulator. The synergy story is a hypothesis, and the page says exactly where it stops.

  7. Sourcing compounds to formulate

What should ship with every lot. The day a batch is questioned, that paper trail is the product.

Self-check

5 questions, each answered somewhere on the path.

Pick one option per question and press Check. Every correct answer is a fact the site documents, and the feedback links to the page that documents it. Checking runs in your browser; nothing is scored, stored or sent anywhere.

01 A mouse colitis study found an anti-inflammatory signal. Can a label say CBG reduces inflammation?
02 A supplier's sheet says CBG works at the serotonin 5-HT1A receptor the same way CBD does. What does the monograph hold?
03 Full-spectrum against isolate: which statement matches the record?
04 What turns CBGA into CBG?
05 Which set of documents should ship with every lot of a CBG active?

0 of 5 answered.

Where next

The other three orders.

Brand owner · Lab or QA manager · Buyer, consumer or retail. Or start from how we grade, the page every path shares.

Cardiovascular note

The blood-pressure note that appears on CBG pages is mechanistic and safety-relevant, not a benefit claim. CBG shows potent α2-adrenoceptor agonism in vitro, and α2 agonists can lower blood pressure — but no study has measured an actual blood-pressure effect of CBG. If you take blood-pressure medication or have a cardiovascular condition, consult a clinician first.

Informational only, not medical advice

A learning path orders pages; it does not advise. Nothing on it is a claim that any product does anything for any disease. If you have experienced a possible adverse effect from a cannabinoid product, use the Report a safety event path. Peregrine Biopharma funds the platform and holds no editorial authority.
